About Badlands
Founded in Orange, NSW in 2010 by long-time homebrewer Jon Shiner, Badlands Brewery began as a corporate escape plan and a passion project built on a shoestring budget. More than a decade later, it has grown into one of regional NSW's most respected independent breweries.
Badlands has always done things its own way. Every beer is brewed using only malted barley and wheat, hops, water and yeast — no preservatives, additives or cheap adjuncts. Their beers are unfiltered, handcrafted in small batches and designed to be what Jon calls "dangerously drinkable".
While many breweries chased growth and trends, Badlands quietly focused on brewing flavour-first beer from the heart of the Central West. The result is a range of authentic, character-filled beers that have earned a loyal following amongst craft beer lovers across Australia.
